I’m writing this note to you from New Hampshire, where tonight I will be participating in a Republican presidential debate that will be broadcast over the Fox News Channel at 9 pm EDT. I hope you have the chance to tune in! My objective is simple: I want to harness the exploding energy behind the issue of illegal immigration……and I want to hold my Republican opponents’ feet to the fire when it comes to their records on issues like deportation, sanctuary cities and amnesty for illegal aliens! Here in New Hampshire, I’m really striking a chord when I talk about the need to elect a president who is willing to deport illegal aliens, especially those with additional criminal records. George W. Bush has absolutely refused to enforce deportation orders, and none of my Republican opponents want to even talk about it, but I guarantee you that I will enthusiastically deport illegals back to where they came from! Speaking of my opponents, it looks like Fred Thompson will enter the race tomorrow, meaning that the corporate special interests and the “open borders” crowd will have another Republican candidate they can support! Sadly, Fred is dodging tonight’s debate, maybe because he doesn’t want to answer any questions about illegal immigration. He was a strong supporter of “comprehensive immigration reform” during his years in the U.S . Senate, and I, for one, intend to make sure the voters here in New Hampshire, and around the country, know about it! It is clear that our campaign is telling voters, here in New Hampshire and all over the country, what they want to hear when it comes to the illegal immigration crisis. But my opponents know it……and so nearly every single one of them is working hard to disguise their records, and pretending to be as serious as I am about fixing the problem! With another pro-amnesty, pro-open borders candidate in the race, it would be a great help to me if you could make a contribution to get the truth to the voters – the truth that I am the only candidate who has a completely solid record in favor of securing our borders and deportation, and against amnesty for illegal aliens. Thanks for your support, prayers and friendship. We have moved our issue to the very front of the Republican presidential debate.

Tancredo has never taken on Thompson. If you take on someone, people have to recognize it, ya know.
Maybe taking on someone in secret is food for the soul but in the race for the presidency it counts for squat.
Food for the soul nourishes and gives strength to the weary to fight the good fight. It only takes a handful of people to lay the foundation to change the world while nobody else recognizes it.
