From James Tiscione:
Ever since they were young, I have encouraged my children to be independent thinkers, reminding them that my political and religious views are just one man’s opinion. As a way to cultivate their free thinking, the only rule I insisted upon was that they must consider and evaluate all points of view. In this way, they themselves can decide what opinions to adopt, what to dismiss and ultimately how to create a world view as individual as they are. Every birthday and holiday my daughter, a successful graphic artist, poses the same question to me, asking “what present would I like?” Usually I request the same thing; either something from her portfolio or one of her elaborate custom greeting cards featuring a caricature of me. But this year, she took the initiative, drawing inspiration from the numerous conversations we have had about the Ron Paul Revolution, and created a visual statement of his message, one we both firmly believe in.I need not explain more, for the essence of what she has captured in this portrait of Ron Paul speaks volumes.
I extend my humble gratitude to my daughter Leah Tiscione for sharing her incredible talent and by giving me the most precious gift of all…her love…and allowing me to share this year’s holiday gift with everyone.

All three of the top Democrats running have said that there is no way they could or would pull the troops out of Iraq until their second term in 2013. That is insane…
It is not only Iraq though. Paul wants to pull troops out across the world.
The U.S. population is only 1/25 of the world’s population, yet we spend 80% of the entire world’s military budget.
We have troops in 130 different countries!
We operate over 700 bases WORLDWIDE! THEY ARE BUILDING A NEW EMBASSY IN IRAQ THAT IS BIGGER THEN THE VATICAN!
We still have 50,000 troops in Japan! 40,000 troops in Korea! 75,000 + in Germany! This is insanity and it is bankrupting America!
Down with the military-industrial complex!
Go Ron Paul!
Champion of the Constitution!

“America seeks no new territory nor do we wish to dominate others. We commit our resources and risk the lives of those in our Armed Forces to rescue others from bloodshed and turmoil and to prevent humankind from drowning in a sea of tyranny.”
~ Ronald Reagan 1983
Doug, nice sentiment but the job of our military is to protect Americans and our interests.
I probably wouldn’t want the extent of the withdraw Ron Paul is talking about but certainty we need to at least restructure our overseas commitments to meet the types of threats we will likely face in the future.
With the withdrawal of Tancredo, Paul is one of the three candidates left that could return us to a conservative Revolution. I, personally, believe his military retrenchment is too sweeping, but a more than acceptable trade-off for everything else he offers. His campaign is, moreover, the ONLY one with any semblance of understanding of a grassroots movement.
The “Ron Paul Revolution” is, in fact, NOT a phrase coined as another shoddy attempt to appear Reaganesque, like Rudy & Mitt & McCain & Huckabee have tried. Paul IS Revolutionary. His vision, clearly, involves a real restoration of the real Constitution, though his peculiar view of foreign policy is not of simple Constitutional derivation, as many seem to think (nor Constitutionallly prohibited, I should hasten to add).
As a practical matter, a Ron Paul Presidency would be a call to arms, politically, touching off a sweeping information war with vast powers both of media and of government bureaucracy combining to combat Paul reforms of so many things by so many means in so many venues. Paul would, absolutely, need to depend on a national grassroots army to help fight it.
It would appear, for a few years, at least, that the whole world had risen up to destroy his Presidency. Many Ronulans are too young to have ever seen such a conflict. For that, the dirty fighing, right now, against the campaign, the slurs, like Medved’s, and the slanders, the procedural cheating and the media hostility the Paul campaign endures, are all very good training.
Since the end of the Reagan era, the country, with the growing tentacles of its intrusive socialism, has been accellerating in the wrong direction. Putting on the brakes now will entail some loud screeching. But the alternative is a much bigger crash. We do not live, contrary to popular political belief, in a giant amusement park. The ballot box is not a video game. Real mistakes do real damage. We can, with our own hands, tear down this Republic, and we have, most unfortunately, begun that process.
May God, once again, shed his grace on the nation and grant us a season of restoration.
Amen! Love the portrait. Says it all!
