WASHINGTON — The Associated Press reported today that they will have a news announcement later in the week, citing unnamed sources.
A Republican official, on condition of anonymity, says the Party plans to field a candidate to enter the Washington state Senate race against an unnamed Democratic opponent sometime prior to the August 17 primary.
The official spoke on Monday to discuss private campaign plans for Wednesday.
The official noted that the Democrats have been openly critical of GOP candidates in hopes of keeping them from winning by the time they officially file for office.
Complicating the effort of GOP Party officials has been the wide consideration by grassroots activists of actual candidates showing up at forums and answering questions in defiance of the party’s vacuity policy.

Dick Morris Mentioned on Hannity (shamnty) tonight Rossi vs Murray as one of the races “up for grabs”.
Just letting you know the mindset of the elite. I for one don’t think that conservatives should support Rossi.

Why would a Conservative support Dino Rossi?
Dino Rossi is the hand puppet of choice for the people behind the leadership of the Washington State Republican Party, the so called ‘moderate’ Republicans.
There is nothing ‘conservative’ about Mainstream Republicans. Or ‘moderate’ for that matter. Look at who makes up their membership and the people they endorse.
Randi Becker, of Eatonville donated to the Progressive Republicans. She is a State Senator. I sure hope a conservative is running against her in the primary. If not then you need to vote for the Democrat running against her. Remember there’s always another election (hopefully) and progressives can do more damage within the Republican party then outside it as Democrats.
Sam Reed of course is also on that list. We really need to get him out in 2012. Ideally in the Primary but if not there than we just need him out of public office.
Also a Port Angeles Port Commissioner is on that list. A James McEntire. He needs to be defeated the next time he is up again.
