You won’t get the real story if you frequent mainstream media channels and sites like FoxNews or CNN, folks. They are already spinning the truth into a lie.
The real story today is that Ron Paul won the CPAC presidential straw poll for the second year in a row. Mainstream media outlets quote “CPAC advisors” (who the HELLO are they?) that the real story is Mitt “Pretty Hair” Romney’s second place showing for the second year in a row. They fail to point out he paid the expenses for his supporters for the umpteenth year.
Unless you are a big government conservative who thinks war is the only issue and can’t distinguish defense from military spending, stop asking whether Dr Paul will run and get ready to roll.
CPAC is moving away from social issues. That’s why so many conservative groups didn’t attend this year.
So, are you willing to sacrifice social issues (abortion, gay marriage, etc) to get Paul elected?
Rep. Ron Paul believes many issues belong at the state level. Although some have disagreed with me and bitten my head off, I agree with him.
One of the CPAC speeches I listened to – I believe it was Herman Cain – said that we need to look at candidates who we can agree 70% of the issues. If we sit around waiting for the person we agree with 100%, well, we have a long wait. Plus someone else’s 100% is different than mine.
Also along those lines, unless we work together I may not like someone you like and visa-versa.
I don’t agree with Ron Paul 100%, but the 80% (in my case) I very much agree with his stands on the issues.
However, within my 70 or 80% there is absolutely no room for a RINO. Our country is at the brink of never, never land and if the voters are stupid again, I believe we’re finished. And we know at least 23% who voted for Romney at CPAC are still stupid voters.

The facts, please, the facts. Looks to me that you are assuming “facts” not in evidence.
If it makes you happy, of all those who spoke, I am most likely to support Ron Paul. I am really thinking strongly about supporting Ron Paul, but I do worry if that would mean the death of social issues in the conservative movement.
I don’t want next year’s election to be just about fiscal issues and at least with Ron Paul we will get some personal liberty issues addressed along with addressing the fiscal issues.
But it does mean perhaps that the effort to fight for the social issues will likely be lost forever.
It wouldn’t be the first time we just dropped the social issues. With Reagan we sacrificed the social issues but we got the defeat of the Soviets and the good economy.
If this is what “conservative” means, well I have learned not to call myself a Republican, so I guess I will just have to learn not to call myself “conservative”.
I like “Patriot” better because there’s really not much left to “conserve” anyway. We need to RESTORE, not CONSERVE!
I understand your concern on the social issues, however, as has been mentioned Ron Paul believes that much of these issues belongs on the state and local level and that the federal gov’t has no business in the social issues. This is sound constitutionally.
Dr Paul has introduced legislation that would have taken the federal courts out of the life issue and allowed every state to enact their own laws in regards to the sanctity of life. Roe vs. Wade would have been nullified by a majority vote of the US Congress. How many Republicans ever made such a bold move. So really we’re not sacrificing anything – we’re putting this issue back into the hands of the People at the state level. Not all states will vote how we would want them to, but even if Life is respected and protected by only half of our states, that is progress and is better than it is today.

Ron Paul is the strongest Pro-Life Candidate in the field, very, very specifically including Mike Huckabee.
I predict that if Ron Paul is elected President, Roe v Wade will fall during his presidency.
He is the only candidate in the field that has introduced legislation that would accomplish that.
With more than a couple pastors in the family, he also much prefers sending missionaries abroad, under the caveat of peace, trade and commerce, with no entangling alliances, rather than bombs to install more dictators for oil companies! Further, though the matter of eternal life is far more important, the former missionary approach historically, has always been church and individual supported at no cost to morals or the economy! But, the latter, interventionist, ‘might makes right’ statist philosophy, using fiat, fraud, wealth stealing paper-creation, has been the greatest of immoral and financial costs to the nation! Of this there is no doubt, and it’s documentation both of family destructive cost as well as moral decay, is voluminous!
Dr. Paul has been on record many times, stating the obvious for a person who values conceived life as the highest and first element of a nation’s liberty, that he hates drugs!
He, as I also, and many true Christian pastors and statesmen, consider the Federal drug war to be fundamentally a most destructive and illegal action simply because it is blatantly contrary to the rule of law and the constitution. It was foisted upon the people slowly like the cooking frog, steadily eroding God given protections so long established!
Laws against drugs, like alcohol, can really only be legally created by state legislatures, depending upon the constitution of the state. This is the crux of a congressional or presidential candidate’s argument.
To obfuscate the issue of the federal drug war, by a constitution- destroying argument, hides many well-documented facts:
… The failure of the so-called war over the years,
… The destruction of families, which it engenders,
… The hidden costs and profiteering it spawns, and
… Most importantly, the oath-breaking habits of public servants it encourages under its artificial guise of public safety.
A fraud is perpetrated on the people, and it breaks down constitutional adherence! A populace freed from the burdens of supporting such taxing programs, could far more efficiently finance on the local level, good local law enforcement, and to a far more efficient outcome! Good law enforcement has never been a problem in America, if local. Rather the backing given them by courts coddling the crimes has instead been appalling.
There is much on the record, which illustrates that the faith and Christian walk of Dr. Ron Paul has been steadfast! Though attacked he has remained unchanged. Though maligned by extensive propaganda and blatant untruths, he has remained true not only to the Constitution, but to the Scriptures!
For those who have really read his books and prolific writings, and read or listened to his speeches on the floor of the House of Representatives for 35 years, there is no doubt that the statement by his first nurse in his obstetrics practice, Donna, was completely the truth. That was, the single sheet of paper Dr. Paul gave her in 1976 containing his platform, is truth as germane today as it was back then!
I challenge any reader to read even one of his many books on sound money and economics, sound historically accurate foreign policy, or the most sound manner of return and reforming the nation back to the constitution, and see if truth is not written therein, and if the constitution is not adhered to as good statesmen should. Even more pressing, you are challenged to find even one other candidate who can even come close to the humble demeanor, principled statesmanship, and brilliant historical authorship, that Dr. Paul has lived over the last 40 years!
Congressman Paul’s congressional office returns the left over budget funds each year to the US Treasury. He takes no trips at taxpayer expense. He carries his own luggage. Rep. Ron Paul even refused his own congressional pension as unconstitutional! There you have the makings of a statesman the likes of which has not been seen in the last 100 or more years!
The enemies of the nation, the foes of the constitution, the thieves of the peoples wealth, and in essence the enemies of the liberty of not only America’s free citizens but of the liberty light which has guided the world for over two hundred years, will stop at nothing! They will propagandize, with their many billions, in order to prevent a Paul type nomination for the GOP!
To allow such a true constitutionalist they reason, would threaten to stop their creation of global governance. In the general election, it would draw many of my democrat friends from the west to the east coast, such as those who would have voted in Washington for Clint Didier! Without question, it would draw millions of democrats who still love liberty, the many millions who voted for Reagan, the many millions who now face the pilfering through illegal and unconstitutional taxation, the wealth they earned, or inherited… for “… that which God has given a man to enjoy of the fruit of his labor.. But another taketh it from him; this is an evil disease!”
These evil diseases, and this oath breaking, spawned and engaged in by such wicked men, does not go un-noticed!

For those who doubt the dictators for oil companies, I recommend the many well-researched articles in The New American (http://www.thenewamerican.com/), concerning the battle by Christian doctor Jonas Savimba, to save his people and regain his country of Angola. Assassinated treacherously with help from the west in the late 1990s, he had regained nearly three quarters of his country.
Whom was he fighting?
Shell Oil…who paid for more than 30,000 Cuban communist troops to keep them in power with Marxist dictators! This was so they could continue to rape Angola of her oil and diamonds! It has continued since the 1970s.
Another case can be examined, by watching the film on the little newborn country of Katanga. It came into existence during the Belgian Congo uprising, in which the Communists seized on behalf of Russia and major corporations, most of that area. In the process many missionaries and locals died.
Katanga became a country when they “seceded from chaos,” as their president put it. Sen. Jackson from Washington State collected film footage to expose to the people of America our own country’s involvement in the betrayal of Katanga. Katanga adopted a form of government identical to America, and survived four major UN and secret American supported attacks against her. This perfidy took place even though Sen. Jackson traveled there to interview their President and bring the story home.
Katanga’s president was a statesman the equal of our founders. He was betrayed. They fought valiantly and to the amazement of the world held off the USA and communist countries against four major attacks before being destroyed. The films made to expose this evil were a little too late!
Why did this happen to such a free, beautiful, and religious country?
They had the resources the world wanted, including hydroelectric, hospitals, and cobalt. A strategic mineral found in few places.

What a travesty! I hope people take the time for this history lesson! So many don’t understand why we should be out of the U.N. Maybe Katanga happened a long time ago, but what it proves is what liars and manipulation the U.N. stands for. And they use We the Peoples’ tax money to accomplish their devious agenda.
And our State Department? What a laugh.

There is a wealth of information about Jonas Savimbi(a). He is but one of hundreds of liberty minded patriots who, in trying to emulate the true principles of liberty as once seen in America, and in hoping against hope for such a country, gave their lives fighting against great powers and odds!
Much of the information has obfuscated the real Jonas Savimbi with confusing statements of he-said, she-said, by revisionist historians, even to the point of making Savimbi himself a communist, which is the very monster he spent his last drop of blood fighting! He became an enemy to corporate fascism globally, and in resisted this evil force on behalf of his beloved Angola. Doing so, and watering the tree of liberty with his own blood, can only speak praise for his integrity and love of both his fellow man as well as liberty!
The New American Magazine used to have back history available. I have access to some of it. Apparently, it is not on line now. I can check.
They did many articles over those years during the 1980′s documenting the real Jonas Savimba and the real enemies of liberty there, as well as here!
If you check either You-tube or Wikipedia, you will find truth as well as fiction and lies. It is easy, though tedious, to study the revisionist alterations, by studying the history sections of Wikipedia. Such a study can reveal not only the intended twist of the truth, but also the source of the twist!
Some of the alterations in his history have included the lies that he loved war, and rejected the outcome of the elections in Angola for that reason. The elections were stolen with the help of the usual oil supporting UN, and his leadership was being betrayed by the communist forces and picked off… he had no choice but to either join them, the wicked perfidy and oath breakers (sounds like congress), or take the fight back to the winning strategy!
For making the ‘wrong choice’, he was betrayed by the west. Shell oil, and others, lusted after that resource rich land, and the rapists of the world’s corporations have been picking over the wealth ever since his death.
That a pseudo peace with slavery has descended over Angola is no sign of liberty, though many of the inside circles profit immensely. It is the usual Marxist utopia, the super rich feeding off the poor, with no freedom and no liberty. The presence of “big stores” and modern appliances for the rich is no proof of liberty! The same exists in China and Viet Nam!
The same is coming to America! Wake up Republican and Democrat couch potatoes alike! The handwriting is on the wall!
History has repeatedly warned us of the evil of rejecting God’s rules of peaceful and loving society! America, through her congress, has failed to nurture the unborn, has set a bad example for a world suffering under slavery, has altered the ‘size of the ephah and the weight of the shekel’, making them false balances of unsound money to steal what God has given people to enjoy of the fruit of their labor!

How historically awesome that one man in nearly a hundred years, living among us today, has written all about this in dozens of books and in hundreds of articles, has warned in hundreds of speeches, many recorded in the halls of congress! He is at once a humble teacher of economics, foreign affairs, history, constitutional limited government, and all the principles that create and sustain life, liberty, and property! I challenge anyone to honestly read and listen, and prove this wrong!
