[Hat Tip to The Daily Paul]
Ron Paul has not officially announced his 2012 presidential campaign, but the official efforts to prevent his nomination began today. Fox News was caught in an outright lie and manipulation of the truth to serve their GOP establishment masters. Fox used the video record of the CPAC 2010 straw poll results to introduce an interview today with Dr Paul. Watch the video clips below. (And show them to your friends who think Fox is such a great source of accurate information!)

“Original” Fox News Channel source, in case one doesn’t believe Fox News Channel aired 2010 footage in 2011.
Fox News propagates for the neoliberalcon republican establishment, and they are the main reason why so many misguided republican voters keep electing RINO liberals. The same RINOs who defecate on the constitution just as often as their demoncrat bed-buddies.
Are there any paleoconservatives talking heads at Fox News? All I see are girly neocons like Hannity and O’Reilly mixed with a few liberals like Shepturd Smith and the broads on their who hate firearms. Megyn “Horse Face” Kelly is dumber than a sack of bricks, and dangerous considering how influential she is to the aforementioned misguided republican voters.
They must be very, very afraid.
Maybe they are afraid. Or, they might be incredibly incompetent.
When this fails, the enemy will resort to violence.
Yes, Dok.
Many have repeatedly expressed fear for the man (and his family). But should they resort to such tactics is no guarantee they will succeed.
I’m a believer in Hanlon’s Razor:
“Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.”
There are a lot of people working together to make a news show, and a lot of places to make an error. An editor splicing shows together could easily screw all this up, especially when he asks the intern “where’s that CPAC video with Ron Paul?” and the speaker looks very similar to how he did last year. The intern pulls up the wrong clip, the producer and the anchor work up a few questions for Paul as a guest, assuming he got booed because they just watched what looks like this year’s clip, and they know he won, so they run the wrong clip. The facts are right the same (he won), the boos are wrong because they pulled the wrong clip.
Good call catching the mistake, though. See what they have to say about it. I’ll bet it’s an error, though. And not “I bet they’ll say it’s an error”, I mean – it really is an error.
I am also a believer in Hanlon’s razor. However, Fox has a documented history of such “mistakes.”
This year’s footage would have been in the daily feed (from C-Span), while last year’s footage would have been archived. Every iota of material at Fox and other newsrooms is digitally logged, dated, titled, coded, unlike the old days. My sources tell me there are folks who do nothing but that at the big networks. And they have editors whose job it is to check and verify this stuff.
This was not an honest mistake, this was deliberate. Fox has a documented history of such with a particular emphasis on Dr Paul.
And yes, under an avalanche of pressure, Fox has “admitted” to a “mistake.”
Too late they went violent a long time ago.
The “repentance” and “clear” statement of “wrong clip” and the very small fleeting use of the word, “mistake”, are now available on DailyPaul here:
http://www.dailypaul.com/157424/fox-forced-to-apologize-on-air-over-ron-paul-cpac-video-deception
or YouTube here:
Since the same Faux News host who carried out the slam on Congressman Paul is hosting this ‘non-apology,’ one finds it very difficult to read ‘honesty,’ or truth,’ into his comments… after all he is the very one who used the words “booing” several times in his hit piece interview of Dr. Paul. He is the same one who specifically asked Dr. Paul what he thought about the “booing!” He is the one who Dr. Paul had to tell in response, “… I wasn’t there”!
Very difficult to read apology into this dead pan excuse!
Easy to read ‘lie’ and lack of integrity.
It is shoddy news reporting and interviewing at best, but I am not so naive to believe that Faux News just suffered a brain lapse down to the level of amateur. To believe that it was not planned is to deny professionalism, their history, their precision, and most importantly, the battle for liberty which has been growing in size and intensity for several years!
Mr. Globalism simply showed his head once more, and more boldly. Whether he did so not anticipating the degree of scrutiny patriots have brought to bear, or whether he intended to be caught, is certainly another valid question deserving analysis! I refrain from that at this time!
Fox news and its operatives will go on trial someday.
They have shouted “fire” in the theater one too many times.
Fox News stations have a history of so called mistakes.
Here is a list of them:
