From Steve Litzow [at his facebook page]:
On Thursday evening the Municipal League of King County presented me [Mr. Litzow] with the Warren G. Magnuson Memorial award. Sen. Ed Murray was also recognized for our bipartisan leadership during the 2012 legislative session including passage of the bill that created Washington’s marriage-equality law in February.
Steve is completing his first term in the State Legislature courtesy of the consistent campaign support of King County Chair Lori Sotelo and her direction to him of significant KCGOP financial contributions.

Openly Gay Senator Murray hugs Openly Gay Rep. Pedersen in the office of Openly Democrat Majority Leader Lisa Brown just before Gay Rights Session.
Steve is not only a gay rights leader, as he (above) demonstrates, accepting an award for his work with openly homosexual Democrat Senator Murray to impose Gay Marriage through government; during his ascendancy to the Legislature, Litzow was also exposed as a pro-abortion activist and NARAL board member, with Sotelo’s support:

Ed Murray and Michael Shiosaki, now "husband and wife" taking a bow ON THE WASHINGTON STATE SENATE FLOOR following the passage of the Litzow/Murray supported Gay Marriage law.
Simultaneously to her support for Litzow, I watched Sotelo’s KCGOP work hard (AGAINST pro-life conservative Republican Alex Rion) to re-elect Democrat Marilyn Chase in my own 32nd Legislative District because Rion had supported the Presidential candidacy of Ron Paul. I have personally interviewed Ms. Chase. She is a doctrinaire Marxist. So a Marxist Democrat is okay in Sotelo’s GOP, but a conservative is not… if he supported Ron Paul…
What can we learn from this?
Well, some of us, obviously, can’t learn anything, but that is something actual conservatives have got to overcome if the GOP is to be restored as a mechanism to fight socialism.
But thinking people should learn that the GOP Left, of whom Sotelo is a sterling example, are NOT fighting Ron Paul supporters, because “libertarians are social liberals,” as they try to claim. The GOP Left is FULL of social liberals – like Sotelo and her creative parliamentarian/caucus chair Michael Young. The real reasons they hate Paul and his supporters are the same reasons all true conservatives should love them: fiscal conservatism, respect for human life at conception, principled consistency (they do what they say) and adherence to the rule of Constitutional law.
The Midstreamers/pragmatists, by contrast, covet what the Democrats have, the flexibility to sell government to the electorate as the answer as Litzow did, here.

Found your blog after having my own run in with Sotelo today at our 37th caucus. Here was our experience.
