Acting King County Republican Party Premier Lori Sotelo demonstrated two things, yesterday, beyond any remaining doubt:
- That the GOP Pragmatic/Romney left has very good reasons to hate video taping, and,
- She doesn’t have the first clue about her legitimate responsibilities as a County Chair in the Convention/Caucus process.
The video footage below is the first of several we are awaiting, that document Sotelo’s blatant violations of Republican rules, as well as law, at the 37th LD caucus. As the video begins, Sotelo’s personal choice for the caucus chair, political ally, David Irons, has been defeated for the office in an election by the delegates to the caucus over which Sotelo, herself, presided.
Whereupon Sotelo, despite being PREVENTED BY RULE from even displaying a preference in the election:
- Threatened to shut down the Republican caucus if she didn’t get her way.
- Threatened to steal the ballots if she didn’t get her way.
- Constantly and illegally interrupted the proceedings to try to illegally take over the caucus. (continued below video)
- Failing to extort her objectives from either the assembly or the duly elected chair, Tamara Smilanich, Sotelo, who controls Republican assets only in trust for the Republican Party (it isn’t her money), actually evicted a legitimate caucus from its called location, appropriating Party assets for her personal use.
- Defrauded every paid attendee out of their $10 entry fee for a caucus from which she promptly evicted them when they didn’t kowtow to her demands.
- Absconded with the ballots printed for the caucus.
- And made it abundantly clear that she did all that as discrimination against the Ron Paul campaign.
Ready for the orange jump suit, Lori?

After posting this ReaganWing link on Fox 19 Ben Swann’s Reality Check Facebook page, I noticed another article with the same video had also been posted.

Lori will be an Internet senation at this rate.
Talk about taking election fraud to the next level! actually threatening to steal part of the election like how blatant does it have to get before the Media (besides Ben Swann) starts covering it!

Hi!! I also wrote the article lowtechgrannie referenced above. Thank you for spreading the word!!!!!!!!
In a way it’s sort of hilarious. In the 34th LD the permanent chair was Jim Clingan, no challenger. Sotelo was there. But the Paul caucus prevailed with their slate, getting 13 committed Paul delegates of the 20. No hassle, no disturbance. The slate of recommended votes by the Paul caucus swept all 4 votes. I think the remainder of elected delegates were for Santorum, maybe one Gingrich.
So it’s not necessary to prevail with the permanent Chair, just be organized and ready, and you can lock out the establishment with enough voters. That’s the bottom line, turning out your votes.

It didn’t work at State in 2008, Free, cheating prevailed.
And how do you know that Paul didn’t actually win 20 of 20?
A delegate here, a delegate there, in a close race, intelligent, moderate cheating beats stupid, easily detectible cheating every time.
The end statements are the point. A Republican convention is a Republican convention.
Sotelo brought the ass and it got kicked.
In district one of Kitsap county out of 22 possible delegates and alternates only four managed to be elected. They are all for Romney. The convention closed at 4 pm.. although there were options not to have to do this, it was decided by “exec order” close it, no more discussion.
Here’s a subsequent video I uploaded of Lori Sotelo plainly saying that unless we accepted David Irons to chair the caucus, she wouldn’t recognize the caucus:
Again, click “CC” to see the subtitles….
Thanks, Emilie.
Lori continues to speak and behave as if she owns the King County Republican Party when in fact it is owned by its (self-identified) members. She was well tutored. She has spread this position throughout the state over the past two years as she held “training,” particularly in Eastern Washington. We can see some of the results in this cycle’s caucuses and conventions.
This is how you can expect her to behave on Saturday at the county convention.
This is how she will behave if successful in her bid to win election as National Committeewoman.
Roberta,
She’s trying to become a committee member for the national convention? Is that what a national committeewoman would be?
I’m not really looking forward to this Saturday, but we have to show up and continue to stand our ground if tricks are pulled.
Thank you for replying, and just to let you know, Ben Swann is going to cover King County voter fraud tonight on his Reality Check segment. Spread the word!
