“If some of our leaders fall in the battle, we must move on. We must be relentless.”
Rand Paul a Traitor?
Along with many of you in the Liberty Movement, I watched and listened with sick horror to Rand Paul’s endorsement of Mitt Romney. But thinking about it, in a political sense, in a global context of what is happening in our world, I would like to offer a hypothesis.
We do not know the pressures that might have been brought to bear on Ron and Rand Paul. The power wielded by the enemies of the free people of the world is enormous and they have no scruples, no mercy, and no justice. In a perfect world, there might be a “John Galt” moment, where Rand steps aside to reveal the gun pointed at him. But that is a novel. Real life is not so clean.
If the Powers That Be can see our heroes brought low, it is to their great advantage and will serve them well. That someone breaks under the kind of pressure that they can exert is to be expected.
Ron Paul’s Legacy – the World-Wide Liberty Movement

Ron Paul has opposed them and has begun a large national (indeed, a world-wide) revolution to challenge the status quo. If our leaders fall, or do not live up to expectations, do not lose hope. If they do so because they are threatened and they are just doing the best they can, we cannot blame them. They are only human and love their families. They have put themselves and their loved ones in harm’s way to help us. This seems a far more likely scenario, than that Rand just up and drank the Kool-Aid.
What we must not do is sacrifice our principles when no such pressure has been brought to bear upon us. We must still stay true to what we know is right and just. We must still try to elect those to office who will fight for us as much as they can.
We must grow a movement so large and vast and diverse, that no one can stop us, and from whose political guillotine no tyrant can hide. A movement that will restore liberty and the rule of law in this country.
If some of our leaders fall in the battle, we must move on. We must be relentless. We must do what they cannot, for in their hearts, I am sure that is what they are hoping and they cannot do it all, alone. The truth is, as with any grassroots uprising, the leaders are not the movement. The people are the movement and will ultimately decide what path it will take.
One day, when our leaders are threatened, they will be surrounded by an army so vast that no one will be able to touch them. Until then, keep organizing, keep educating, keep active, stay together, and stay strong.
Our day will come, and those who attack our heroes and bring them low will see their own downfall.

Rand Paul’s Cross
Before you criticize Rand Paul, you should walk a mile in his shoes. The road he is traveling cannot be easy and will be rocky and dangerous. But his Father must have passed on some of his stalwart principles to his son, and he may yet serve us, even while he faces our ire and castigation for something which well may be completely out of his control, or may be a part of something we cannot yet see or understand. It may be the cross he has to bear and the sacrifice he has to make in order to continue in the fight at all. Only time will tell.

Excellent piece Michele. We must keep soldiering on, our cause not confined to our borders as the desire for liberty is universal. The world is watching and waiting for us-you and me-to continue to blaze the trail, light those brush fires and fan those flames.
I love their family. They are my friends.
Jack Hunter’s Orwellian Monday-morning-quarterbacking hot-air rationalizations notwithstanding, to put it in the words of some delegates, a good friend, and a Paul family member:
“Rand can take a long walk on a short pier!”
We have been, are now, and will be, all about winning delegates for Tampa…
… then winning at Tampa,
… then moving into the White House!
Ron Paul said, “I will run if America needs me to do so.”
This is not about a year, or two, or four, or eight, from now!
This is about stealing our wealth past, now today, and tomorrow! It is about the hypocrisy of decrying today the death of the unborn, while at the same time they daily ‘drone’ mothers carrying unborn in their wombs… wombs of sorrow!
‘An idea whose time has come cannot be stopped’ by any machinations, armies, or rapacious bankers. It is a fire fed by principle and truth!
‘Choose ye this day whom ye shall serve. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord!’
As a sitting Republican Senator, it’s understandable that he’d want to curry favor with TPB. However, I will NOT be voting for Mr. Romney. It’s unwise to send the message to the State Party Romneyites that they can, lie, cheat, manipulate and flagrantly break rules at caucuses and conventions to ram their candidate down my throat. The WSRP always back losers!
Mike Adams, the Health Ranger who occasionally subs for Alex Jones offers some interesting analysis but is not so kind in his conclusions.

There could be reasons for which we are completely unaware that motivated his “support”, not endorsement.
I think the simplest explanation is best: that he has to work within the party structure to advance the liberty movement. Rand shares my philosophy in that you get more platform and delegate victories by making friends rather than enemies. http://youtu.be/ygwZHpTUmaI Or has Peter Schiff gone apostate too?
Well stated. You remind me of a joke.
Before you criticize someone you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you do criticize them, you’ll be a mile away AND you’ll have their shoes!
All my best.
