We don’t like you.
We particularly don’t like Ross Marzolf and Matthew Lundh.
The PCOs rejected them in April when Lori Sotelo presented them for ratification as co-chairs of the 37 LD (after she removed Jonathan Fox, her previous choice for district chair). They elected Tamra Smilanich as their district chair, having waited in vain for Lori to present another candidate for ratification. [NB: The official KCGOP website lists Marzolf and Lundh as the chairs of the 37 LD, rather than Tamra.]
Now, voters in two 37 LD precincts have rejected Ross Marzolf and Matthew Lund’s bid for PCO and by a large margin. And the KCGOP has lost two establishment votes for the party organization meeting at the end of the year. And in a third precinct, Rowland Martin edged out Jonathan Fox by one vote.
What’s next, Chairman Sotelo? Moving Matthew Lundh to yet another area, perhaps an empty precinct, so that he can be appointed PCO?

Glad you’re focusing attention on the elections that matter, Doug. Perhaps these are the only sort where 1) you have any influence whatsoever, and 2) the candidates you “work for” can actually win?
John, you’re losing sight of the fact that Washington is a Blue State. The GOP leadership has been grossly inept at delivering Republican victories where it really counts for decades. To grow the party, keep the grassroots engaged and actually win elections, the leadership has to be fair and clean…. clearly it is not! I really appreciate what the Reaganwing is doing.
Roberta is to be congratulated on the research behind this, her article. Marzolf is a GOP Left operative that has previously garnered international press and Lundh was instrumental in the deployment of Sotelo’s Computer Fraud Vote-counting system.
We will continue to report on internal Party matters others ignore because the Party currently controls nominations for every Republican the public gets to vote on, and their habit of nominating worthless candidates (win or lose) is destroying the Republic.
Very nice to hear Marzolf lost. He once denied me being a PCO after I was promised the position. After that he was also extremely rude and yelling at me at a LD caucus. I found every interaction with him unprofessional and beyond that his choice of candidates was very pro big government.
