Editor’s note: This article was written within 48 hours of the first day of business at the 2012 Washington State Republican Convention in Tacoma and uploaded to The Reagan Wing, where it has waited for nearly a year, although regularly revisited by our staff… Like the story of the Republican Liberty Caucus Kickoff in January 2013, Something held us back from publishing …until now. The author, was an eyewitness to the events discussed in Lord of the RLC #9: The Silmarillion Secret. This article is published now as a response to the comments of  Michael & Katja Delavar.

For this discussion, the following two provisions of the Twelfth Amendment apply:

The Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves; they shall name in their ballots the person voted for as President, and in distinct ballots the person voted for as Vice-President, and they shall make distinct lists of all persons voted for as President, and of all persons voted for as Vice-President . . . . For four years the disparate elements outlined in Train Wreck#1, though shrinking (as noted therein), held together waiting for a Washington State Ron Paul Campaign. Before the Republican National Convention in 2008, in fact, even before the close of the Washington State Convention, leaders of the 2008 grassroots campaign began preparing to win in 2012,  but we couldn’t overcome the national “Professionals” or their local proxies.

For four years the national “Professionals”  would create, then control The “Compromise for Liberty.” Then the 2012 presidential “Campaign” not only ignored the organization necessary for a successful Paul campaign, but actively prevented it, by  instead laboring to turn Paul’s supporters into a cash cow. That this was, to them, more important than a Paul victory is no longer debatable. I will tell that story. It is, in fact, still unfolding to the ultimate detriment of the movement spawned by Paul. There are some scenes in your life that are so significant you can never forget them. And there is no common vocabulary to describe them. Words like “epiphany” and “allegorical” fall short even after the dictionary has been dragged out.

I went to a meeting early in 2008 to discuss “the future of the Ron Paul Movement” in an upscale South King County subdivision. Only four people showed up, but “as it happened” we (supernaturally?) represented four of five tributaries of the phenomenon, the R3VOLUTION that had unexpectedly exploded across America that year, re-igniting the grassroots nationwide and spawning “money bombs.”

If some of our leaders fall in the battle,  we must move on. We must be relentless.”

Rand Paul a Traitor?

Along with many of you in the Liberty Movement, I watched and listened with sick horror to Rand Paul’s endorsement of Mitt Romney. But thinking about it, in a political sense, in a global context of what is happening in our world, I would like to offer a hypothesis. (more…)

HAVE WE LOST OUR SOUL?
Immediately following the attacks of September 11, 2001, pundits and others in the media said it was a day which would change America forever. We had lost our innocence, they told us. We had lost our sense of security. We had lost our trust of our fellow man.

But no one told us we would lose our soul. (more…)

Litzow and openly homosexual Murray accepting award for Gay Rights leadership.

From Steve Litzow [at his facebook page]:

On Thursday evening the Municipal League of King County presented me [Mr. Litzow] with the Warren G. Magnuson Memorial award. Sen. Ed Murray was also recognized for our bipartisan leadership during the 2012 legislative session including passage of the bill that created Washington’s marriage-equality law in February.

“We need an army of citizens, motivated and committed, to restore liberty in America, to breathe new life, new vibrancy into a nation on life support. We will not return our nation’s vitality with lawyers. We will not be prescribed the cures for our ailments by opportunistic politicians pedaling the latest edition of What Will It Take to Buy Your Vote. We simply will not. America is on the brink of flatlining.”

It’s from Adrian Murry:

Some of us are prisoners
Some of us are guards

… in the battle that looms in 2012 against the forces of darkness, against the forces empowering and empowered by Obama, the Republican Elite (record their names as they reveal themselves) propose to engage the beast with a machine, a clone, a Republican battle-droid artificially fabricated in years of polls and focus groups, in countless hours of tactical evasion and practiced “messaging.” (more…)

Seattle. March 17, 2012.

Today was the day I saw a huge machine go down. It was designed to intimidate as much as destroy. There won’t be a lot of space junk over this one, because the machine is a metaphor: the King County GOP had its Death Star taken down, and Michele St. Pierre put the torpedoes down the exhaust port.

She used the force. Not force as government defines it, but the force that is composed of the human desire for liberty. Nothing can defeat that force when you use it. It’s easy to recognize: it’s the only force that does not destroy. (more…)

Can't forget the "LOVE"

After a hard fought battle, whatever the outcome, perhaps the tendency to wax philosophical is inevitable. I am the Snohomish County Coordinator for the Ron Paul campaign and we went without sleep, eating sporadically, abandoning all aspects of normal life in a pitched effort to bring in our county. He placed second there in the Straw Poll. Delegate counts are another thing, and it remains to be seen what the outcome is. (more…)

February 23, 2012It is no secret that I am a huge Ron Paul fan–and I have been for
many years. Do I agree with him on every single issue? Of course not.
And I don’t have to agree with him on every single issue to know Ron
Paul is the only true constitutionalist in the Presidential
field–from either major party. And when a President (or any other
public office holder) takes his or her oath of office, they do not
swear to be a good conservative, or to be a good Christian, or to
support the state of Israel, or to “create jobs,” etc., etc. They
swear to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United
States. That is their solemn oath before God and the American people.
Nothing more. Nothing less. (more…)

Bellingham, WA January 30, 2012

I have watched many presidential campaigns since I was born.  The first one was Ike vs Adlai in 1952. I was seven and I remember Stevenson’s hole-in-shoe picture and the “I Like Ike” buttons, and that my mother was for Adlai Stevenson, and my father, Ike. Perhaps it was this internal and constant examination of issues from two opposite sides that contributed to making me think as I do today. My father and mother drove to the polls every four years and always voted for opposite candidates. They never came to an agreement.

Now 60 years later I have spent most of my adult life studying this kind of confrontation. (more…)
