Thursday the AMNESTY AND OPEN BORDERS MOVEMENT blockaded a federal immigration court entrance, offices for Immigration and Customs Enforcement and finally, downtown Seattle streets. The lawlessness was intentional, planned and a little bit Republican.

Thwarting their plans to magnify exposure by getting arrested, Seattle Police simply refused to enforce the law. Anarchists across the spectrum of anarchy must be celebrating this evening! But the organizers, clearly disappointed, accused the police of a “political decision.” Welcome to Crazy World.

“I think the 35 people who were ready to be arrested did what they could to be arrested, but the city didn’t want to,” said David Ayala, activist with “OneAmerica,” an anti-American front group opposing border sovereignty.

McCarthyism Revisited

 Ever wonder where the vitriol from the GOP Left comes from, the character assassination campaigns and the constant false charges of “racism” against anyone who opposes the criminal alien invasion at our borders?

Wonder no longer…

 As I wrote to Jude Wanniski in 1999, “The viciousness directed at conservatives and anti-communists by the left during the ‘40s and ‘50s is displayed today against pro-lifers, religious conservatives and all others opposed to the socialist agenda that liberals seek to impose on America. And the socialism that they espouse is every bit as coercive as the Soviet communist system with which they could find no wrong in the days of Joe McCarthy. Communism, after all, was described simply as ‘socialism in a hurry.’

Crowley Artifacts

Sunday I crawled into the Archives, braving the dark and ancient archival hazards, scattering the dust.

And I emerged from that cavernous mystery (where some say the Ark of the Covenant is still hidden) with the prize I had sought: the MacGuffin of my last article, the Crowley Artifacts. In the wee hours of Monday morning I scanned two crucial documents whose antique pre-MSDOS characters were, first, stamped, letter-by-letter by engraved hammers striking through cloth covered with ink, and, later, transferred, by offset lithography, to the kind of flat, fibrous medium they used to manufacture from fallen trees. It was a 40 year old newspaper of the American New Left Communist Underground, and it contained the work of Walt (not Aleister) Crowley, co-founder of HistoryLink.org.

Reproduced for your edification, here, are the letter published in October, 1967, to which I referred in my Crowley obituary, and Crowley-original art taken directly from the cover of the following month’s issue of the Helix. There is no standard definition of Maoism, although a recurring theme for most definitions is the emphasis on an agrarian revolution as opposed to the Soviet-style urban revolution. Unfortunately, that doesn’t come close to describing what happened in the Cultural Revolution of China, Mao Zedong’s salient achievement, which gutted China both spiritually and materially, killing millions and leaving the economy in ruins.
