In the few days and weeks BEFORE the RLCWA Convention but AFTER we knew that RLC (National)’s structure was in danger of aborting (you’ll pardon the expression) the Washington State liberty movement, a bunch of stuff happened. (more…)

Last December liberty activists from Snohomish County gathered to form the Snohomish County charter of the Republican Liberty Caucus.
There was just one problem: the “Abortion” section of the Statement of Principles (SoP) of the national RLC. (http://www.rlc.org/about/statement-of-principles/) (more…)

Exposing the Republican “Liberty” Caucus, Part II:
Fetuses are Just Like Dandruff
by Kit on May 12, 2013
In 2004, Bill Westmiller became the national chair of the Republican Liberty Caucus. Westmiller’s main claim to fame in the Republican Liberty Caucus is his authoring of the current language of the RLC Statement of Principles. In 2004, Westmiller submitted modified language to the National Convention that would put what they called a ”neutral” position on abortion. At the time, Westmiller stated that “The neutral abortion plank is intended to avoid conflicting statements from state organizations and describe our motives.” Unfortunately for pro-life conservatives, Westmiller left out part of the story—and why not? The other founders of the RLC were die-hard libertarians, and as such were pro-abortion themselves. They already knew about the RLC’s pro-abortion roots because they designed them. The knowledge that Westmiller once compared an unborn baby to a flake of dandruff was no big deal. That’s how they felt too. (more…)

The January 27 RLC Kickoff turned out to be a landmark event, highlighting, as speakers, State Legislators willing to stand for life and liberty without compromise and who, in so doing, represent the principles on which the nation was founded and the hope of restoring the Republic.

Thursday The New York Times published two stories. Their common theme? Killing and death.
The first story: “To Reduce Suicide Rates, New Focus Turns to Guns.” Death by guns, (sometimes known as “gun-inflicted deaths”) according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s latest figures (2010), number some 30,000, of which 20,000 are suicides. The remainder include accidental deaths and those killed by law enforcement officers.
[No proposal to disarm the police has been forthcoming.] (more…)

From Steve Litzow [at his facebook page]:
On Thursday evening the Municipal League of King County presented me [Mr. Litzow] with the Warren G. Magnuson Memorial award. Sen. Ed Murray was also recognized for our bipartisan leadership during the 2012 legislative session including passage of the bill that created Washington’s marriage-equality law in February.
THE CULTURE OF DEATH

To cure the genocide of real weapons of war in other lands, and yet sustain the medical genocide of abortion that kills 3000-4000 Americans daily in our own land, is sheer lunacy…[letter written by a woman who experienced two abortions years ago]
Galatians 5:14: “The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (I think that INCLUDES an unborn child and euthanasia of the elderly.)
How can we possibly believe God is still blessing this nation when we have thrown Him out of every facet of American life? How can we possibly believe God would still bless this nation when we are sacrificing our unborn children to Molech and Ashtaroth at the rate of thousands per day?
The innocent dead now total nearly 57 million. (more…)

Rand Paul: The time to Grovel is over.
Posted in Abortion, Criminal Acts, Government Lawlessness, Right to Life, Rule of Law on November 16, 2011 | Leave a Comment »
Dear Friend,
For 38 years, nine unelected men and women on the Supreme Court have played God with innocent human life.
They have invented laws that condemned to painful deaths without trial more than 56 million babies for the crime of being “inconvenient.”
In 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade ruling forced abortion-on-demand down our nation’s throat.
In the past, many in the pro-life movement have felt limited to protecting a life here and there — passing some limited law to slightly control abortion in the more outrageous cases. But some pro-lifers always seem to tiptoe around the Supreme Court, hoping they won’t be offended.
Now the time to grovel before the Supreme Court is over. (more…)

ABORTION IN WASHINGTON:
It’s been predicted for years now that AG Rob McKenna (R) was planning to run for governor. He’s a Catholic and a Republican. He’s also “pro-choice”. His support for abortion is usually painted as support for women. After all, dead babies don’t vote or contribute funds to political
campaigns.

Terri’s Day (CNA).- The Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation and Priests for Life have established March 31 as “Terri’s Day” to mark the death of the severely-disabled Terri Schiavo from dehydration after her feeding tube was removed by court order [of Judge George Greer].
The full title of the commemoration is “International Day of Prayer and Remembrance for Terri Schindler Schiavo, and All of Our Vulnerable Brothers and Sisters.” The organizers hope that “Terri’s Day” will foster education, prayer, and activism regarding discrimination against the disabled. (more…)
Centralia Baby Decapitation Poses Grisly Lesson for Abortion Crowd

From AIW…
This week brought us a stomach-churning story from Centralia, Washington. According to reports, a troubled mother gave birth prematurely at home to a 21-week-old baby and then cut the baby’s head off with a serrated kitchen knife.
The state is charging the mother with murder.
The disturbing irony of this case, that media reports have somehow failed to observe, is that in Washington State abortion is legal and subsidized by the state way past the point at which this baby was born and murdered. (more…)

Legislative Gate Keepers: Abusing the power of the Chair
Posted in Abortion, Right to Life, WA State Politics on February 9, 2011 | 2 Comments »
Representative Eileen Cody, Chair of the House Health and Wellness Committee, has tersely denied a hearing requested by Representative Matt Shea for HB 1442, effectively killing the bill.
The bill, “Establishing parental notification requirements for abortion,” would require advance parental notification for minor children seeking abortions. (Abortion is a potentially life-threatening procedure for both children.) You can see her handwritten note to Matt Shea here.
If you believe potential legislation deserves thoughtful consideration, including giving the public the opportunity to have their opinions heard, call the Olympia legislative hotline to let Chairman Cody know you don’t appreciate her denying that consideration based on her own prejudice. 1-800-562-6000. Leave a message for the chair of the House Health Care and Wellness Committee, asking her to reconsider and schedule a public hearing on House Bill 1442. Or you may e-mail your request by clicking here.
