[Ed Note: This is part three of Kit's series on the dark side of the RLC. Emphasis ours.  Part one was cross published at the Reagan Wing here and Part two here.  Kit Lange writes for the conservative blog Victory Girls. Clayton Strang is a Reagan Wing authorand writes for Red State.]

Exposing the Republican “Liberty” Caucus, Part 3: Shady Money and Shadier Leaders

by Kit Lange and R. Clayton Strang

Authors’ Note: This is the third installment in a series exposing the Republican Liberty Caucus for the leftist, pro-abortion, anti-Christianity organization that it is, and throwing open the closet on their corruption, lies, and machinations. Part 1 showed the first few years of history, and Part 2 brought it up to the present day. Part 3 focuses on the new leader of the RLC, and the largest state charter, Washington State, where this author was a paying member of the RLCWA until very recently. (Apparently our resignations were not accepted…read on.)

rlcwa logoThere are two kinds of issues: core, and peripheral—and these are different for every person. Core issues elect candidates, for they are what people camp on. Peripheral issues are the ones that you’re willing to negotiate on; a candidate may disagree with you, but you’ll still vote for him if he meets your core. One voter, for instance, may have considered the war in Iraq their number one priority core issue in the 2008 election—and the reason they voted for Obama, even if they disagreed with his social policies. A social conservative (or as some of them call themselves, liberty-minded conservative) holds one value above everything else: the defense of life. Some hold this as equal and even above the Second Amendment right to self-defense against tyranny, for the killing of an unborn child is the ultimate in tyranny.

We have already seen how the RLC has always been pro-abortion. Its leaders are staunch abortion defenders—even up to the minute a baby takes its first breath outside the womb. To hardcore “libertarians” like Dave Nalle and Bill Westmiller, a woman has the “right” to murder her child even as she gives birth to it, as long as it has not taken a breath yet. In order to attract social conservatives, however, they toned down their shocking belief system and made it “neutral,” claiming that “honest and ethical” differences of opinions could exist.  Current RLCWA leadership, including state chairman Sandra Belzer and Snohomish County Chairman Brian Landsberger, claimed they were pro-life, and offered assurances to prospective members that they could help the RLCWA change their platform to reflect life as the foundation of liberty.  Sadly, several pro-life activists actually believed them. As previously reported here at the Reagan Wing, WSRP chair Kirby Wilbur, in the course of attempting to justify the misuse  of party funds for his personal campaigning and that of his allies, including Lori Sotelo has suggested, completely without  evidence, that PCO candidate campaign postcards mailed from Tampa, Florida were the work of a nefarious and secretive anti-Republican group. Some Republicans, including Ron Paul supporters, have expressed concern, even dismay,  and  have asked that the source of the mailings come forward to be identified. In an attempt to imply a takeover conspiracy, Wilbur transparently alleged that the “unethically anonymous group”  was  the Ron Paul presidential campaign.

The Reagan Wing is privileged to reveal the source of these mailings. (more…)

There are some scenes in your life that are so significant you can never forget them. And there is no common vocabulary to describe them. Words like “epiphany” and “allegorical” fall short even after the dictionary has been dragged out.

I went to a meeting early in 2008 to discuss “the future of the Ron Paul Movement” in an upscale South King County subdivision. Only four people showed up, but “as it happened” we (supernaturally?) represented four of five tributaries of the phenomenon, the R3VOLUTION that had unexpectedly exploded across America that year, re-igniting the grassroots nationwide and spawning “money bombs.”

The Moses Lake Meeting of the 2012 Washington State GOP Credentials Committee was an atrocity.

All the authorities agree; the RNC rules, the WSRP rules, Robert Rules of Order… there must be a “call to convention,” a notice given to the qualified delegates of the place and time and inviting their participation to make it a valid Convention. Each authority stipulates rules for that call explicitly.

Why?

Because it is too easy for the people charged with running a Convention or caucus or committee to manipulate its outcome with people… that will vote the way they want… (more…)

It’s been a while.

Two score and two years ago Ronald Reagan brought forth in this State a new Party, conceived in Liberty and dedicated to the proposition that  all Republicans are created equal.

Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that Party, or any Party, so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. (more…)

No man can save America, no President or any movement’s leader. No Governor can save a State. Without the requisite mindset in the populace, all such “change” is illusory, all real improvement, temporary. Attempts to “plant democracy” without the cultural topsoil have failed all over the world. The question we face now is whether Liberty still has a habitat in American culture. The answer, based on Washington State Republican Party behavior, is murky. (more…)

To cure the genocide of real weapons of war in other lands, and yet sustain the medical genocide of abortion that kills 3000-4000 Americans daily in our own land, is sheer lunacy…[letter written by a woman who experienced two abortions years ago]

Galatians 5:14: “The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” (I think that INCLUDES an unborn child and euthanasia of the elderly.)

How can we possibly believe God is still blessing this nation when we have thrown Him out of every facet of American life? How can we possibly believe God would still bless this nation when we are sacrificing our unborn children to Molech and Ashtaroth at the rate of thousands per day?

The innocent dead now total nearly 57 million. (more…)

SANTORUM SUPPORTERS – SET UP AND SOLD OUT

Below is a video which shows explicitly how Santorum and Gingrich supporters at the Pierce County Convention are getting set up by the Romney Campaign. They are being told that Ron Paul supporters are disruptive and “savage” (scurrilous slanders) and they need to ally with Romney against them. Which just means that Romney will get his 1,144 delegates on the first vote at the National Convention and thus SANTORUM WILL LOSE. GINGRICH WILL HAVE NO CHANCE. They are being induced to commit voluntary political suicide. (more…)

We beg your patience.

As the only war correspondents reporting from the front on the internal war between the GOP Establishment Left Pragmatist Elite and the Conservative movement The Reagan Wing has been far too silent. Can't forget the "LOVE"

After a hard fought battle, whatever the outcome, perhaps the tendency to wax philosophical is inevitable. I am the Snohomish County Coordinator for the Ron Paul campaign and we went without sleep, eating sporadically, abandoning all aspects of normal life in a pitched effort to bring in our county. He placed second there in the Straw Poll. Delegate counts are another thing, and it remains to be seen what the outcome is. (more…)

Nicola Riley, the Utah doctor accused of botching an abortion in Maryland in 2010, has been charged with murder.

A Maryland circuit court indicted her and another doctor this week after… investigation by the Elkton Police Department at the American Women’s Services clinic found a chest freezer with dozens of late-term fetuses and fetal parts. Clinic documents show fetuses at the clinic were aborted at 28, 33, 35 and 36 weeks of gestation, by multiple doctors, including Riley.

I have two close, long-time conservative friends with whom it is natural that I discuss the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination battle.  They have problems with Ron Paul for all the typical reasons Conservatives do if they do. I got over them. The problems, I mean, not the friends… back in late 2007  and early 2008… when it took me FIVE articles to explain my endorsement of the stone the builders rejected.

They are interested in Rick Perry.

Rick Perry looms in the distance for many Republicans, potentially the savior they always hoped for, the “next Reagan.” But what is this “distance” in which he looms?  Why are my friends merely “interested” in him and not trying to find his state campaign headquarters to join?

The arguments have just concluded in the Hepting v. AT&T and related cases involving claims against the private telecoms and separate cases against the Government. A detailed report should be posted soon. Notably, the audience included Judge Carlos T. Bea, an active member of the Ninth Circuit from California appointed by George W. Bush in 2003. (Judge Bea was not assigned to the panel, he was simply attending as an observer). At the conclusion of the arguments it was very unclear who we should blame more: The Executive Branch for conducting the warrantless NSA domestic spying, the telecoms for participating in the warrantless spying, or Congress for trying to grant the telecoms a “civil pardon” for their participation in such warrantless spying.

Today the US court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit will be hearing oral arguments in Seattle regarding several dozen consolidated lawsuits involving NSA warrantless spying. Judges Pregerson, Hawkins, and McKewon will preside over today’s arguments. The Reagan wing is on site and will provide updates as they become available. PBS television is taping the proceedings.

Arguments will focus on the constitutionality (more…)

You might be a slave if:

1. You believe that you would rather have the government take care of you, than take care of yourself.

2. You believe that the Constitution is an antiquated piece of paper.

3. You prefer to be entitled to something rather than earn something.

4. You believe that it is up to someone else to defend your family when a home invasion occurs.

5. You think it’s okay to have surveillance and traffic enforcement cameras on every corner.

6. You think it would be great if everyone had a chip implanted in them with all of their personal information on it.

7. You think people need to be taxed more, for any reason.

8. You are happy when “tax protesters” go to prison.

9. You think “Patriot” is the name of a football team.
