The essence of the discrepancy between Reagan/Beck/Paul defense policy and the “well-meaning”  militarism of Roosevelt/LBJ/Nixon/Bush/Clinton/Bush/McCain is articulated, in the middle of this video (beginning at 3:40).

Story of a Successful Rescue (and the Obama Adminstration’s Attempt to Claim Credit)

Despite efforts to spin the pirate tale as evidence of bold leadership by an inexperienced president, the reality was clearly nothing of the sort.

After four days of floating at sea on a raft shared with four Somali gunmen, Richard Philips took matters into his own hands for a second time.  (more…)

From Pat Buchanan:

The focus of “The Unnecessary War” is on the colossal blunders by British statesmen that reduced Britain from the greatest empire since Rome into an island dependency of the United States in three decades. Occasionally the spirit of America breaks out into the fresh air, like a blade of new grass coming up through freshly poured asphalt. Or, perhaps it is more like the eruption of a volcano when the pressure just under the earth’s core grows too great to be suppressed.

Here we have a piece written by a housewife from New Jersey who is “one ticked off lady.” Breaking through the mind-numbing idiocy of network news and print media propaganda, overwhelming the glazed inertia of the liberal trance, the unmistakable voice of the American Revolution, erupting into brilliant display, “in profuse strains of unpremeditated art.” You may receive it as an email. Pass it on.
