[Ed. note: Despite the propensity of readers to presume that all Reagan Wing articles are authored by its chief writer, Doug Parris, we do in fact have a staff – who are responsible for this article, as noted in the byline.]
Today the Reagan Wing discovered that King County RLC Chair and RLC Washington Vice Chair Matt Dubin, who very publicly announced his Facebook friendship with King County Chair, Lori Sotelo, just before the January RLC Kickoff and welcomed her as an RLC member before the April State Convention, has now un-friended and blocked Doug Parris from his personal Facebook page.
According to Parris, “Every objective means Facebook makes available indicates Dubin removed me as a friend.”
Dubin had acted as a (non-administrative) Ron Paul figurehead when he was named the compromise choice for Campaign “Director” in the wake of revolving-door Washington State leadership decisions by the National RP Campaign. The national campaign was led, at that time, by now-Mitch-McConnell-aide Jesse Benton.
Dubin had previously provided significant aid to both Sotelo and (Wilbur operative) Dani Bolyard at the Washington State Republican Convention when he led a contingent of State-level Ron Paul aides in a blatant cover-up of Sotelo’s massive cheating at King County Caucuses and of Bolyard’s extensive cheating in the State Credentials Committee to seat Sotelo’s illegal delegates.
Parris was the chair of the Washington State Ron Paul Credentials Challenge Committee and the spearhead of opposition to Sotelo’s rules violations and illegal activities both in the convention/Caucus process and her administration of the King County Republican Party.
The irony is that Dubin is a leader in an organization largely motivated by the cheating he facilitated and doubly ironic that he now refuses friendship with the primary opponent of that corruption.
[Ed. note: We observe with interest in the context of this story, that it has long been the practice of King County Republican Chair Lori Sotelo to refuse communications from certain Republicans with whom she may have political disagreements. According to Reagan Wing sources, the most recent example of this occurred in the past week when she refused certified mail from a fellow Republican elected PCO. We have yet to tell that developing story.]
