I listened to “KT” McFarland – senior national security analyst for Nixon, Ford and Reagan, and now for FOX News – some time ago as she commented on the sad state of affairs with the original mission objective in Afghanistan, long ago accomplished. We have now what is termed “mission creep,” finding things to do with taxpayer funds by the billions. We pay pederasts and they play with their young boys. We pay profiteers and help them harvest their heroin.
So there is no end in sight, no objective, no light at the end of the tunnel.
Then she made a comment which struck a note of sincerity not usually seen in those who espouse globalism as a future utopian goal. She said, “… we owe it to our boys, our young men and women [her daughter is a Navy officer], to bring them home…”! What she was expressing was the critical need to have a ‘strategic end in sight,’ to have and give hope… “they face a very certain danger over there!”
A Foreign Policy of Freedom, written by Ron Paul, reveals a record of 35 years of writing and testimony on the House floor by the one congressman who had in all those years never wavered from that truth!
That truth also served as a stark reality for Capt. Red McDaniel, who in writing about his years as a Viet Nam POW in Scars and Stripes, dedicated it to his “Bombardier-Navigator, Lt. James Kelly Patterson, and others like him who did not return.” To the best of my knowledge there is also at least one female soldier still missing from Dessert Storm 1990.
Former host of 60 Minutes, Monika Jensen-Stevenson, lost her job and nearly her life trying to research and write her book, Kiss The Boys Goodbye, dedicating it to “… those who might have come home… and to the men of U.S. Special Forces who wanted to go back and get them!”
Too bad there is little to no mention of the missing veterans by most cartoons or speeches, we hear around Memorial Day!
Those boys who still sit in dark holes around the world… like Lt. Kelly Patterson, the “back seat’er” for Capt. ‘Red’ McDaniel. The two went down over N. Vietnam, May 19, 1967. There were 7 aircraft shot down that day. ‘Red’ returned in 1975 with the few who came back.
We always thought the back-seaters’ had been taken by Moscow, and sure enough, sometime around the early 1990’s, Kelly’s ID card came across the border of Kazakhstan, on the southern border of the former Soviet Union.
His ID card was followed shortly by a magazine that came across the border, which mentioned Kelly by name!
A few years before this information was obtained by interview, an organization called Task Force Russia, took the list of what they called discrepancy cases (known to have been captured alive but never came home), and presented it to the Russian government (Yeltsin at the time), with a request that they interface with their computer records.
This interface was to include all prisoners in Russia… crooks, bums, psycho, political, religious…
They got 41 matches.
One was Kelly Patterson!
Sources said Kelly was alive the date of this interview!
The Soviets had also said so!
Along with this was the matter of 1600 still alive at this time, from as long ago as WWII!
Russia offered their return.
The offer lasted less than one day.
During Yeltsin’s first state visit to America after becoming president of Russia, mid Atlantic, he was interviewed in the air… in the plane… mid-Atlantic… by Stone Phillips of NBC!
Said Yeltsin… “Sure we have American prisoners in Russia, we have had since WWII, and I am going to help you get them home!”
As soon as Yeltsin stepped off the plane in Andrews AFB in Washington, the Bush administration (Gen Scowcroft and others) told him, ‘If he wanted any help from this administration, to keep his mouth shut!’
So… the powers that be in the USA told Russia to clam up and not mention it again. The news carried the story one day… then buried it!
‘Kelly’ and the rest still sit in prisons!
There were many more we knew of in South East Asia also… by name… and location! But, apparently we do not want them home. They would embarrass the powers that be, the powers that have been for so very, very, long! The powers that continue to create tyranny ‘back home’!
What would the change be for these boys if they did get back to their families and homes… for whom they have wept for so many years?!
Will we ever have the chance to ask them?!
How about the 15,000 American boys, taken from German POW camps by the Russians, intentionally left to slave in the Soviet gulag by Eisenhower and ‘the Allies’, against the lone voice of Gen. Patton, who died suddenly.
I guess it is only a few more to add to the total.
Likely, only the families will notice and cry! They have wept for decades.
When will an ‘American Statesman’ president be elected, and put an end to this nightmare?
Many are willing… but few have been saved!
This is one ‘greatest SIN’ of America!
John McCain, who, along with John Kerry, Republican and Democrat, each a candidate for president during the last few decades, Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum hand in hand, mocked on camera the families of POWs when they appeared in front of the committee, and even suppressed their evidence and information. That committee had been created to seek the truth about our fallen, our MIAs, and yes, known POWs!
One of these ‘Johns’, for that is who he is, when handed photographs and clear evidence of another POW crying out for help in SE Asia said to the courier, “destroy that, and if a word of this leaves this office, you will wish you had never been born.”
Many have died over the last few years, not to mention the POWs; many who tried to dig deeper into the perfidious actions of those who perpetrate this madness, this heinous and wicked act, which keeps these men from their families, from their homes, and from their country!
Sadly, some of the family members who heroically fought on over the years since their loved one’s capture… for many, many years… for decades,
… have given up on their country … their elected public servants… their faith… and finally… their own lives!
Many elected to office in this land, who would be kings, have blood on their hands… even to the office of president! However, the electorate can thank only themselves for returning the same perfidious ‘pigs to their mire’, year after year!
So I repeat… there are many SINS of our land:
One might think of the greatest sin, as neglecting the Mighty Hand which graced us with liberty and guiding posts; next, the destruction of the unborn, then the send off of our young men and now women, to receive and impart destruction without wisdom and the rule of law and Constitution!
But today and every day I cannot shake the plight of our boys left behind,
… the screams of the most horrible torture? No;
… the pain of loneliness? No;
… the ravages of sickness and broken body? No;
… not those… not really the worst yet.
But, the unspeakable thoughts they must endure:
… of being left behind by those who swore to never leave them behind,
… to slowly hear of the state of affairs through leaks and cracks through the dark wall of confinement, intentional and unintended!
It is at once the saddest reality for America, as well as the most pure torture which can be inflicted upon her countrymen and their loved ones.
It is for certain that history should not remember the perpetrators of this crime as countrymen!
But let our history hold up high and never forget such countrymen as we have been blessed with, who kept their oaths to such an undeserved and tragic end!
The electorate, when the roll is called one day, will bear the greatest guilt. Congress could have been recalled at any time by the people.
The presidents, the judges, and even the Supreme Court likewise could have been removed by Congress, if the latter had kept their oaths!
Each day however, we enter a new time frame. Each and every morning we can arise and turn around the state of affairs. But only if the people awaken in time.
May the Lord keep us, those loved ones made to bear unspeakable suffering, and this land, in the dark but yet hopeful days ahead!
Not a day goes by but, in addition to the supplications we are enjoined to raise up on high for faith and support, life and health, direction and wisdom, I cannot but raise up these betrayed but not forgotten… these ‘loved in heart’… but untouchable… these hopeless wrecks of body made so by their own countrymen, who, but for that great animating spark of faith in God, and love for liberty, home and family, would long ago have sunk into the abyss of history!
May they not only just be remembered… not only just upheld in spirit… but, by their countrymen and families, upheld one day in person!
Lt. Kelly Patterson… whether or not you can hear me… I salute you.
We owe you New Years and Birthday wishes 46 times over my friend!
We are still praying for you!
