On September 17, close Lori Sotelo associate, Tony Moore, President of the Federal Way school Board (Federal Way), while boarding a plane to take a taxpayer-funded junket to Europe was arrested and taken in to custody by King County Sheriff Deputies at SeaTac Airport .
Released on bond, three days later, Moore is facing up to 70 years in prison and up to 1.75 million dollars in fines if convicted of all seven felonies of which he is accused, all relating to the systematic theft, with accomplices, of product from a Multnomah County, Oregon dealer for his Tire Brokerage in Federal Way.
Part of Moore’s rise to prominence was his experience as the President of a Federal Way group whose purpose was to raise local taxes. Moore was Sotelo’s (and the Seattle Times’) choice (in a primary with three Republican candidates) for a 30th District seat in the State Legislature in 2012 and her chosen one to chair the 30th LD Republican Caucus. In that Caucus, as its chair, Moore was a crucial accomplice to Sotelo’s extensive parliamentary cheating, ballot fraud, and violations of Republican Rules in support of Mitt Romney’s candidacy.
We must point out that it is entirely possible that Moore is not guilty of the felonies of which he is charged and that the cheating, violations, and ballot fraud with which he assisted Sotelo were the direct result of ignorance and naively trusting the King County GOP Chair.
This, then, would be the second cautionary tale the Reagan Wing has published on the same theme: Be careful who your friends are.
