Faith stepped up to the doors of the Washington State Legislature Saturday showing no signs of fear. No one, in fact, seemed afraid. And no one was belligerent.
It was eerie. Faith is six years old. The Movement is well over 200.
I was surprised so many showed up. Because this event was planned to directly confront the business end of abusive government, the guys with guns and no morals. And these participants, by definition, were those who had counted the cost and were putting it all on the line against the New American Tyranny… and its legal budget… and its politicians… and judges… and its police… and its media.
Directly challenging the lawless diktat of Mussolini-Virus-infected Jim Moeller (as House Speaker pro-tempore, 2013-2014), these were the patriots willing to face arrest exercising their rights: under law, under the State Constitution, the U.S. Constitution, and under God. Not a popular place to be in recent times. Not even safe anymore.
Lawless men wielding government power, believing they have the exclusive right to arms are unpredictable and always, in the course of time, become murderous. Facing them were these patriots.
Working against the patriots were liars.
Jim Camden lied about them in the pages of the Spokesman-Review on January 20 when he said they had “brought and brandished weapons in the House gallery” on Jan. 15. They did NOT brandish weapons on that date as Camden claimed.
Deputy Minority Leader Joel Kretz, (Rino-Wauconda) lied about them when he said, “All the rules of gun safety were violated…” but it made good copy for Camden.
AP Reporter Derrick Nunnally lied about them repeatedly.
- He said, the “rally drew about 50 people.”
While 50 would have been an impressive number of patriots willing to face arrest, Nunnally’s estimate cut the numbers roughly in half.
- He said, “they hoped [the demonstration] would end with their arrest.”
The assertion is not only a lie it is patently ridiculous. It would be the same to claim the patriots at Bundy Ranch “hoped to be gunned down by Federal agents” or that servicemen of the American military “hope to be captured and tortured in foreign lands.” But Nunnally’s lie is very useful. It helps project the same image Rep. Kretz was casting of “a small group of extremist wackos,” out of touch with Americans.
That usefulness was demonstrated as Nunnally’s lie was picked up and repeated by:
KBAL TV (CBS AFFILLIATE)
WASHINGTON’S TOP NEWS
KIRO TV 7
The (Everett) Daily Herald
The Gillette News Record
and many others.
This is the propaganda machine of the New American Tyranny.
THIS is the “Media” that gets preferred treatment; like Pravda and Izvestia before them, exclusive access bequeathed by rulers who believe themselves above the law.
As a weapon, the whispered lie is cheap but effective.
~ Mike Vanderboegh
Any Washington State citizen with mental competence adequate to participate in an election, understanding the circumstances facing the patriots in Olympia on Saturday Feb. 7, 2015, had to have a sense of foreboding Saturday morning.
Organizers said officials in Olympia, informed of the Rally, had threatened that the patriots would literally be gunned down by police.* Anyone with a political memory will recall that this has actually happened in America… at Waco and Ruby Ridge… with government in the hands of “soft” socialists.
And so it happened that Saturday, in the (marginal) shelter of the Capitol “porch” at the top of those majestic stairs, at the near conclusion of a strategic cat-and-mouse with the Olympian Autocrats, about a hundred patriots gathered, the hard core, ready to risk violence and arrest, to defy the order banning firearms, ready to walk, openly armed, into the Legislative gallery to nullify an unconstitutional order. There they listened to the words of Mike Vanderboegh, Elizabeth Scott, and Matt Shea.
Each of those three gave a speech worthy of our Founders. This, alone, was worth the trip to Olympia.
Vanderboegh, national founder the 3% Movement, was stunningly articulate, demonstrating, again, the intellectual gravitas of the Liberty Movement.
Scott, State Representative, 39th Leg. Dist. brilliantly laid out the essential case for the action for which all the patriots had gathered that morning, the legal history and the justification for acting, in full compliance with legitimate law, but in defiance of threats by public officials.
Shea, State Representative, 4th Leg. Dist. continually recited the facts and history that the Legislature labors to ignore and that they trust their chosen media to censor out of coverage. Over and over again Shea challenged the Media, directly, to report what they’ve been hiding.
These were inspiring speeches of extraordinary quality, the kind that one used to hear in real, legitimate Republican Conventions when we still had them. Each of the speakers demonstrated tremendous courage being there, standing with those who dared defiance. Scott and Shea showed extraordinary political courage to persevere in a place their colleagues on the Republican side have abandoned and toward which the Mainstream Media and Democratic Party exhibit open hostility. Vanderboegh, for the leadership role he has taken, continues to risk his life. If you hear that Mike Vanderboegh has died under questionable circumstances you’ll know he has been assassinated, possibly involving officials of our own government. He’s been repeatedly threatened.
But Saturday, as eventually happened at Bundy Ranch, and has, as described in Vanderboegh’s speech, re-occurred historically, the opposition simply melted before armed resistance. Traveling, armed, throughout the Capitol building and grounds, no one was “gunned down,” no one was arrested, or even confronted by anyone. It was, considered objectively, a remarkable victory for the rights of Washingtonians, a continued and literal legal nullification of I-594.
Following the speeches and his own reading of the enumeration of 27 grievances for which the patriots demanded redress, Bronze Star recipient Matt Shea, physically head and shoulders over most of his compatriots and politically head and shoulders over most of the Legislature, led the patriots through the cast bronze doors of the highest masonry dome in North America, up marble stairs to the doors of the House gallery where they sought entry to their own chamber. Those doors were found courageously locked by Frank Chopp, exemplar of those who forget they are our servants but believe they have become our masters. The patriots knocked. No one answered. The knock repeated… louder, like a strong pounding, demanding entry, too loud to be missed, inside, but not hard enough to damage the huge antique hardwood door.
And the beautiful voice of a six-year-old girl rang out spontaneously:
~Faith McFadden, February 7, 2015
And that amazing word of Faith was, of course met by the cheers of the patriots…
But not the speaker of the House.
The Demand for Redress of 27 Grievances was posted on the door by author/activist Kit Lange. And the armed troupe of Liberty moved on to our Socialist Governor’s office, where, knocking and posting as before, it was met with similar indifference and Matt suggested we should see if he was at home.
The Governor’s Palace is behind a locked gate with a WSP sentry on duty. It was to be the site of the sixth Classical early 20th Century Building designed by Wilbur and White but, who knows? Was it the Stock Market Crash of 1929 or the politicians’ love of grandeur? They just didn’t have the heart to tear down the opulent dwelling for the Chief State Executive. And Jay Inslee made ample use of the structure’s ample ability to keep completely hidden. Nevertheless, the third copy of the demands was presented to the guard and farewell remarks preceded a final prayer for the nation.
This was strike three for I-594, but just the beginning of the Mainstream Media dis-info spin. We watched as they removed photos from their coverage that showed more than a few participants… and distort their purpose… if they covered it at all.
But driving to Olympia that morning I had passed a vintage Jeep 4×4 Pickup with a rear-window-wide sign warning “Don’t Tread on Me,” and was interested to discover that the driver had brought his son to the rally. Someone I know, as the proceedings concluded, heard the boy – perhaps 8 – as he skipped down the capitol steps, exclaim, “No one was arrested! I guess my prayer worked!”
Me, too, son. With the forces arrayed against us, prayer is our most powerful weapon. And it works.
* It must be pointed out that the Washington State Patrol was NOT threatening and nothing but cordial, throughout.
